You are welcome to enjoy a friendly atmosphere in our well-cared home in Lewisham in South East London in an area known as Brockley or Telegraph Hill, south of New Cross Gate.
We specialise in short-term professional, academic, internships and work placements. Visiting academics/ research students particularly welcome. Free street parking.
Our communal kitchen with a wood burning stove includes a washing machine, a tumble dryer, a cooker with two ovens, a combination microwave, a food processor, a juicer, a bread maker, a soya milk maker, a Matstone, a toaster, and a sandwich maker.
Wireless broadband throughout the house and in the garden; also wired broadband in each bedroom.
We are at 20 minutes walk from Goldsmiths University, 15 to 20 minutes to New Cross Gate, 15 minutes from Nunhead railway station and 10 minutes from Brockley Railway Station, 40 minutes to Greenwich and Blackheath. 10 minutes by Rail to central London for either London Bridge, Victoria or Charing-Cross Station, about 20 to Blackfriars and St Pancras.
The East London Line is now re-opened and services Canada Water, Shoreditch which is 3 minutes from Liverpool Street, Dalston Junction, New Cross/New Cross Gate, Crystal Palace and West Croydon among other stations.
The main buses are:
* 343 London Bridge – New Cross Gate (get off at Avignon Rd after Frendsbury Rd)
* N343 additionally goes to Victoria
* 484 Camberwell Green – Lewisham (get off in between Dundalk Road and St Asaph
Road)
* 171 / N171 Bloomsbury (and Holborn Station) – Catford (get off at Brockley Station)
* 172 St Pauls Station via Waterloo Station – Brockley Rise (get off at Brockley Station).
Or you stop at New Cross-Gate and walk south.
* 78 Liverpool Street to Dundas Road/ St Mary s Road.
